Winchester stock markings

   I’m looking at a 1944 production Winchester. Everything seems correct; however, it has an E marked on the bottom of the pistol grip. I can’t find a reference to this mark. Can anyone help? Thanks, Barton

	see letters on some of the 60's NRA sold guns-no idea why, is not a bad thing
