Those are awesome, I want one so bad. I don't think I will ever get one though due to prices, and their fragile nature. I can't buy a gun and not shoot it.
So cool! |

It would seem that the OP (original poster) removed the picture from his file.
Being that this was a "test" it is not a big deal. However, we would ask that anyone sharing a picture in a thread to please not delete the photos. It sometimes makes the post useless. We had to find forum software that hosts pictures. As I am sure many know that there are hundreds if not thousands of useless carbine threads out on the internet because Photobucket and other hosting sights removed the ability to link or removed the actual picture after a few months.

That's a good subject.
I usually remove photos because some websites capture photos permanently after a short editing period. In other words, if you leave your photos too long you lose control over them forever. The Krag Forum is an example. |

People stealing photos is something we'll always have to deal with, I don't see how it can be stopped unless we do a write over that makes the picture undesirable, but does't hide the purpose of the photo. For our use we need to serve the greater need, if the photo is relevant to the subject, it needs to stay, regardless of any fears of someone stealing it. Getty who has thousands of photo's has given up on trying to protect them, there is only so much you can do.
I also agree using a photo archive site like Photo Bucket does't work because they now require passwords, in other words if the photo is relevant to the subject, just leave it, better for us reading your post than fear of theft. My 2 cents.

Do a google search for the following:
irwin pedersen carbine collectors club Then go to the images tab and you’ll see pictures of a carbine featured here. Point being. When you post pictures on a site that site is crawled by companies like google. Content is captured, indexed and archived. In a nutshell, it is the way of the web. |

Sorry, I'm not being clear. Theft is irrelevant to the point I would like to make.
Pictures get taken from the internet. I'm talking about something different. Once you post your pictures the web site can prevent you from editing, replacing, or removing said pictures. Many sites do that after a period of time (never disclosed in the site terms) while others paralyze your photos immediately. I want to decide what I post and for how long. |

I notice that my postings on this thread are already frozen.
I can't make any editing corrections on the posts I made here just this week - not just the pictures but the words are locked. |

If you would like to have a post deleted, you could contact the moderators to have it removed. I’ve done that in the past and they removed it for me. Hope this helps.
