Usually bad news when you see those Evidence tags tied on.
Shotguns with sawed off barrels.
M1A1 looks to have a Type I rear sight and barrel band, but missing leather and Hand guard.

There's two carbines in the picture! Maybe three (if he AR is a carbine).

All I notice is the missing hand guard on the M1A1?? Regardless, agree with Charlie looks like bad news.

M1A1 Rivets look strange. Shame someone couldn’t take care it. Stock might be salvageable.

That barrel on that M1A1 looks pretty shiny.  Blued maybe?

Ding, ding , ding.

as to the M1a1: barrel looks blued. Nose of stock looks off. Might be commercial, might be genuine. Moot point as it will wind up in crusher unless some savvy cop obtains it. It might be a rockstar posing for buyback programs or as a prop in a political speech.

Funny how the government will pay 400 bucks for a hammer but offers pennies on the dollar for your rights.

FWIW,
I found a couple different views of the picture above that shows a few clues about the (Now Destroyed) M1A1.

Please Crop Down if needed.

It always strikes me as odd that the cops can buy back something they never owned.Dead
