were the late model slide stops with the machined notch used only on the M2 slides or were they also used on the other 6 oclock  slides as well?

There were two slide-stops (plunger and spring). The first issue was updated by the second issue and is interchangeable between the M1 and M2.

I believe the type 2 pin was introduced early to mid 44. Considering  this was the time frame of most contractors having their contracts terminated I would say only on Inland or Winchester. Not necessarily a M2 item, just the latest  production.
Might be possible on other late production carbines.
 
Maybe someone can check the late COMs in newsletters to  see if they show up?
