After obtaining several Inland Type 3 Overton stocks, I've noticed that there is usually a marking stamped inside the nose piece. I'm guessing that these are probably inspector's marks but would like to see what others might say. Here are examples that I currently have:

Jack, maybe try uploading pictures to the forum.
Photobucket no longer allows linking pictures unless you pay for a premium account. I am guessing you are talking about the o and / in barrel channel. Think it showed up in second or third block |

Edited original post to upload pictures. Yes, I've seen various combinations of o and / as well as other letters (such as "H" as shown).

These markings were mentioned in the articles on Inland production (NL353-6, NL 361-5, NL372-4).
