I managed to get two nice post war rebuilds from the CMP several years ago.  I cleaned them up and oild the stock; that's all.  I was thinking about doing restorations but I think they are fine the way they are.
1st one I bought was supposed to be an Inland but to my surprise, I got an Inland lined out to Underwood!

My Second was an IBM.  What I got was a very early hand stamped I.B.M.

Well you should be buying lottery tickets! IBM is stamped IBM or IBM CORP?

Very nice, would love to have either in my collection.

Welcome to the club
Best, Dan

The Barrel is stamped "I.B.M." and I'm pretty sure the receiver is as well.  It's difficult to tell. with that adjustable rear sight in the way.

I believe that to be the earliest barrels from IBM. Have seen several.
Being one of the first 400 or so serial numbers It can be I.B.M on receiver. Take a look with flashlight.

Using the first serial number as 3,651,520, this one is under 200 from the 1st. A quick job with super macro shows "I." from one side and ".M" from the other.  I'll assume there's a "B" in there to make it "I.B.M" with no trailing period. (wow it looks really dirty with that super macro)
