It is an Austrian Marking, the number is probably the rack number of the Carbine. Steiermark is an Austrian Bundesland (Federal State). You may find also LGK K (Kärnten), LGK B (Burgenland), LGK Nö (Niederösterreich) etc. I have two FN Highpower Pistols marked similarily.
