STOCK ABUSE…OR PRISONER ABUSE?

The caption for this photo is “Persuasion Is Tried, dated April 3, 1967. A South Vietnamese interpreter

swung his carbine and bopped a Viet-Cong prisoner, dragged from a deep mountain cave 250 miles

northeast of Saigon by members of a South Korean army unit. The prisoner had been ordered to use a

loudspeaker and instruct his still-hidden comrades to surrender. He refused. His Korean captors then led him away.

A.P. Wire photo.” (photo contributed by Vance Vasquez).

I'm sure the gook returned to try to persuade his comrades to surrender. That's the way it was.
The flag does not fly because of the wind that blows it. The flag flies because each soldier's last breath blows by it!

Korean Headaches
NEA telephoto 23, June 1952

On Koje Island, a UN guard taps an unruly Communist prisoner of was with a carbine butt to emphasize an order to keep heads down during the removal of prisoners.

The POW's were moved from notorious Compound 76 and separated into smaller and more manageable groups.
