There is a carbine parts seller on eBay who SEEMS to be legit on the whole, but he/she has posted some items for sale that make me wonder, like repeated auctions for Type IA barrel band swivels, particularly rare ones like KV-S'G'.  Does anyone have any experience/comments about this seller?

    Thanks,   John

Its Rollermillseast  on eBAY. Are you familiar with him?

I am aware of others from earlier on like Riverbank Armory.

     Thanks for your help.

So is Riverbank Armory a reputable source or no?   I just ordered a sling!

This forum and CMP forum are good places to find parts.

A genius on CMP was told not to buy parts from that seller after asking the same question of credibility. He very much behaved condescendingly toward the people giving advice and bought anyway. Then when the part came he asked for help IDing it as real or not. Everybody pretty much ignored him. There are times when someone gets what they deserve.

I've said it before, a skeptical attitude in this hobby is not a bad thing. It's unfortunate that there's an ever growing amount of scammers out there who peddle faked up carbines and reproduction parts and even more unfortunate that upward trend will continue, most likely as long as the carbine restoration hobby exists.

No one is immune from making mistakes in this field and that can't be repeated enough times.

This sight is a great resource. I saw a Carbine and with their help it was identified as being reparkerized, pieced together and fake stock markings. Not saying it was worthless but it had a value less than it's asking price, in my mind it was a really nice shooter, not a collector rifle.

The dealer understood why I was not interested, kept it on the shelf, kept his mouth shut and it sold for $1,450 4 months later. He works on commission.

I just looked over his current offerings on Auction. Prices are crazy for humped parts. Damn thing is the 100% positive feedback ??
Page after page in feedback showing countless Rare parts... Or should I say Rare Markings ?
See some parts that were real, before having Fake stampings applied. Shame, buyers are following.

How about ThingsRecollected
I was looking for springs and while at it maybe a couple hard parts as spares.
Many of this person's listing show a package, implying these items are old stock spares.
The machining on some of these hard parts got me suspicious but maybe its just my lack of experince with them.  I'm just comparing with what I've seen on mine and photos of some of the feature carbines here.

I can provide a hot link if that makes it easier.  I'm just not sure of the protocol on posting such questions.

Matt,

I don't recall buying from them but haven't heard anything bad about them.
I see Repacks and WWII era packing being parted out.
Feedback Received as a Seller: 45 pages..100 per page, 85 on last page: Totals 4,485.
With just a few Neutrals and a couple Negatives over minor stuff.

Side Track: ~20 years ago I was buying the same (bulk and single pack) NOS wrap and Repacks from Numrich and Northridge, but have used or given a lot away over the years. I recall buying a lot of TH internals. 5 being RMC triggers from Numrich in the single wrap stapled packs. 3 of the 5 were unmarked/no stamp. Anything opened and emptied I saved the wrap..... Stored in one or two of the wood ammo crates here somewhere. I should have bought everything I could grab but invested in horses and a boat in West Palm Beach Fla,  Yes Harsh Lesson $.

**Someone else may know more about ThingsRecollected and can add.**

Ch-P777

ETA another sidetrack: I remember JimF4m1's buying a couple Seymour 30 rd Magazine packages that had been repacked with bolt tools. Two to a pack in golden cosmoline paper.

Did you see this Scammer Report?

I went to the web sight and seen they have pictures from some of ThingsRecollected items they have listed on Ebay. Among many other sellers items.

Matt, Off your topic, but thought a good place to post.

I did see that one, but didn't dig into it.

Here's the extractor out of my SG.
Compare with eBay item number 303731431367 pictured  in post above.
Of course both could be legit....

The other one that caught my attention was this lot of firing pins.
The rears shown look a little like a type 2, but not like the drawings or the one I have.

eBay item number:303548990574

Below is one I recently installed in my Underwood's SP bolt.
