The CMP is giving CMP affiliated clubs the opportunity to notify surrounding area clubs about their upcoming CMP Sanctioned Matches.

The Chambersburg Area HS NJROTC is holding the Chambersburg NJROTC Fall 2021 3x10 postal on 11/22/21-12/3/2021.

EVENT:  3x10 Postal Air Rifle Marksmanship – National 3-Position Rules (current version)

 

SCHEDULE:

 

Friday Dec 3, 2021 – Postal Competition Targets Due

 

Only Sporter Categories will be offered for competitive purposes.  First, Second, and Third place team and individual awards will be made.  ONLY ORION TARGETS ARE AUTHORIZED. 

 

SCORING:  ORION SCORING SYSTEM

 

ELIGIBILITY: Any student currently enrolled in AJROTC, NJROTC, MCJROTC, AFJROTC; or other youth shooting organization. No athlete is allowed to be on two different teams during an individual match.  No more than four (4) athletes per team. A school or club can enter more than one team and/or individuals.  Individuals may enter and compete in either event.  The host team will be competing.

 

LOCATION:  Virtual/Postal

 

RULE BOOK:  2020-2022 NATIONAL STANDARD THREE-POSITION AIR RIFLE RULES which are downloadable from the CMP Websites. 

 

SANCTIONING:  Virtual event will be registered as a Sanctioned CMP Postal.

 

POSTAL COURSE OF FIRE:  This is a 3x10 course of fire IAW 2020-2022 3PAR rules.

 

TARGETS:    Only ORION system targets will be used.  Targets will be provided to teams at the STS event.  For Postal, units with ORION systems will be able to upload their targets directly.  Units without ORION systems should contact Chambersburg SNSI, and they will be mailed to you. 

 

AMMUNITION: .177 cal air rifle – wad cutters recommended

 

EQUIPMENT: Teams are required to provide all equipment they will need to compete (air, CO2, spare rifles, scopes, stands and shooting mats).   

 

CMP COMPETITOR NUMBER:  Cadets and the coach are required PRIOR to match to have a CMP registration number and to submit that number to the host school. The number can be created by going to the CMP web site at http://ct.thecmp.org. or go to http://www.odcmp.com/Competitions.htm

 

SCORING: Orion Scoring System.  Scoring will be completed by December 8^th and results posted via email and the Orion and CMP websites NLT December 10^th. 

 

TIES: Ties broken for awards. Rule 8.6.1.

 

ENTRY FEE: A team of four (4) shall pay $60.00. Individuals who can’t be on a team of four shall pay $20.00 per individual. Virtual Fee must be received by 3 December for your scores to be counted toward competition results.  Checks should be made payable to:

AWARDSs:   All participants will receive an event ribbon.  Highest three teams and highest three individuals will be recognized with awards according to the following table in each division.

Medals and Postal Participation Ribbons will be mailed to individuals/teams following the completion of the event and scoring.  Team Trophies will be shipped directly from the vendor.

 

TEAM ROSTERS:  Submit your roster per rule 3.2.5. Team rosters with CMP numbers are requested no later than 1 week prior to the event.  This will aid in the preparation of bar code labels.
