On the Parts page, regarding Stocks, the following statement is made:
Ordnance Department Acceptance Marks (cartouche)
Can someone please expound on this and provide some examples? Thanks

Early Winchester had Inspectors mark W.R.A/G.H.D and a CC, Later Winchester had just a CC. Also only stocks that were on a carbine when accepted had those marks. There were stocks that were made as spares that would not necessarily have an acceptance mark. All WWII produced stocks should still have the manufacturer mark in sling well.
