This is a Boyds M1 Carbine Stock and 2 Rivet Handguard that I bought unfinished. Nice Walnut Stock I used Chestnutridge.com Military Stain and Hand Rubbed several coats of Linseed Oil.

LOOKS LIKE YOU GOT A GOOD ONE & DID A NICE JOB FINISHING IT, DID YOU PUT THE STAIN ON FIRST OR MIX IT WITH THE LINSEED OIL ?, I PURCHASED THREE OF BOYDS STOCKS ABOUT FOUR YEARS AGO & THEY WERE HORRIBLE. I SENT TWO OF THEM BACK ( WOOD WAS CUT PAPER THIN ON THE RIGHT SIDE & RECIEVER CHANNEL HAD THREE SIXTEENTH OF AN INCH GAP, RECOIL PLATE DIDN'T FIT RIGHT. THE ONE I KEPT HAD NO HOLE FOR THE BUTT PLATE OR THE BARREL BAND SPRING.
THANKS FOR THE POST RON KIRK

Thank You Ron, I purchased the Stock and Handguard unfinished with NO fitting problems. I used Chestnutridge.com Dark Walnut Military Stain with a Hint of Red. Then I hand rubbed SunnySide BLO several times a day for 3 days. I have better pictures. The pictured here was taken with my old cell phone Camera, but I took some more with a digital Camera and you can the grain real nice and a little red. I did this for my '78 Iver Johnson cause the ones they sell for IJ are cheesy and have Varnish over the Blonde looking wood. Thanks
