Went to the gun show in Bossier City (near Shreveport) yesterday.  There were a few carbines, appeared to be mostly mixers, although I didn’t disassembly any.  Prices were from $1200 up to $1800.

Bruce Canfield had a booth.  He was selling some pretty nice stocks, some interesting military gear, and his books.  Said he is downsizing and moving to Colorado.  When I asked him if the good stuff was under the table, he said he didn’t have any carbines with him but has sent about 75 to Rock Island Auction.  I bought a decent, high wood Standard Products stock and his Garand and Carbine book.  I asked him to autograph the book and then mistakenly handed him his book on '03 Springfields. Short story - I came away with TWO personalized and autographed, hardback Canfield books. If anyone is interested, I’ll sell the ’03 book.  This a brand new hardback book signed by the author with best wishes to ME.
