This Carbine will be up for bids at an auction I am going to this weekend. There is not much info and only one picture and a description. I wish the picture was better. There is a small chance I may get to see it before the weekend, if I do I will put more pictures up.

Thoughts? I know there isn't much to go on.

The description is:
  1. M1 Carbine 30 Caliber w/US Case/Sling/M8A1Bayonet/3 Magazines and Oiler Tube Serial #2947482

At least you know it is an arsenal rebuilt Inland. The bayonet is an M4. The bayonet scabbard is an M8A1. Stock appears the be an M2 stock, but I can't be certain.

it is a Blue Sky import. Inland barrel date 10-43.
I am not that good at parts, but it has stamped front and rear sights. Milled trigger housing. Flat top bolt show a fair amount of wear. Stock is in good shape. 4 rivet hand guard.
It will go up for auction in an hour or two. I will let you know what it goes for.

it went for $1855.00. Jumped out of my price range real quick! Everything firearm related went at a premium price.

$1855 for a blue sky import stamped Inland, unless it came with $1000 worth of ammo I'd say that was a bit too much.

I think that just shows the kind of prices we will be faced with in the next four years.  Have you seen gunbroker lately?  Even the Universals are going for $800.  A decent carbine can't be had for less than $1000, MOST MUCH MORE.
