Recently I found this M1 Carbine attachment.
It is still sealed in it's original plastic wrap. The paper slip in the pouch says: Attachment, Blank Firing T12 For Cal. .30 Carbine Caution: Do Not Use With Live Ammunition There is no FSN or Contract Number. I have not been able to find any information on this M1 Carbine BFD. Can anybody add information about this device? Anders |

There is no FSN or contract number because it is a commercial made device. That BFA is mentioned in WB II under Aftermarket Muzzle Attachments and CCNLs 88, 204, 205. It was produced by a Company in Texas in the 70's.

Thank you Wayne for coming back.
I realize I did not get any email notification on your reply, despite the fact it is activated. You certainly gave me the information needed. Thanks! Anders

Wayne,
Could you tell me which company or perhaps which one of the CCNL's I should get to obtain the proper information on the manufacturer of this device... Thanks, Anders

Check you spam box make sure to add Admin@UScarbineCal30.com to your address book or accepted email list The company was Texas Armament. I think you ordered the CCNL 88. the TA BFA "T-12" is in it In the tread on back issues there are two downloadable and searchable indexes which will help your search Edited by New2brass - Jan 04 2022 at 1:08pm |

Thank you New2Brass. Great that I will be able to read more sbout it in CCNL 88.
The missing notification is a single incident. That is odd. I get notified on replies, but I discovered one I had received no notification on. I read it 20 hours after it was added yo my topic. |
