I accidentally received some dummy cartridges.  As wasn't certain if they were recently made up or original because they had '43 and '44 headstamps, but none had the hole in the side mentioned in a couple of the books.

This clarified that these are almost certainly original.    Most made from standard cases with tinned bullets inserted.  While two of the cartridges have blind primer pockets. 


The ones on the left are shorter and two of the cases have begun to split (not visible in photo).
