Here is look at my '44 Winchester. I had to replace the old Cracked Winchester Stock with this I found for sale and got a really good deal. It's pretty much still the same. The only thing that I really like to do is find a Hard to find "C" marked Cowles T3 BB. Other than that it's pretty much Complete. Got real lucky with this one.

How's it shoot? Restoring can be a pain and long process best suited for the patient, of which I have little.
Is there some kind of cartouche on the right hand side of the stock under the rear sight? |

It Shoots Great right where I Aim...I just replaced the Stock and one other part. I did not do a Rebuild or Upgrade parts. What it has now is what's on when I bought it now execpt for those 2 items. I still have the Winchester Stock it came with where someone has scraped 2 areas of the Stock and I really didnt like it but i know a lot others wouldn't have minded it. I just happen to find this Stock from a Collector on GB who bought my Bavarian Rock-Ola and yes there is a Marking inside the Stock like under the Rear Sight area on Slide side.
