I just got back from the Ohio Gun Collectors Association show today, and wanted to post a photo of my friend Bill's display. The photo was taken yesterday by another friend during setup, as photos are not normally allowed at the show. This is a beautiful Inland presentation Carbine, serial number X81, which was presented to GM Executive L.C. Goad in 1946. Since I first became aware of this Carbine last year, when it was purchased from the original owner's grandson, Bill has done quite a bit of research on it. The items on the table around it are associated with Mr. Goad, who achieved a Senior VP position at GM back in the day. Anyway, if you get a chance to stop by, there are some very nice displays this year, including this one. Another friend of mine is displaying the Baby Face Nelson Thompson Submachine Gun, which has a great research story to it, and one that I was privileged to have been involved in when it was first discovered 2 years ago, after we removed the barrel, and reviewed the hidden serial number underneath the grip hanger.
