What a Country just added some "collector/service" grade stocks for sale. If anyone is looking for an Inland, Winch or QHMC stock. They look OK to me, but I am no stock expert.

Who if any have bought stocks from these folks, what can one expect as to their description, we are in need/want a couple and do not have to be in collectable condition, just serviceable.

I bought a winchester stock from them a couple of months ago and could not be happier. It was exactly as pictured and described. They have some pretty good reviews on the CMP and other forums.

Just Curious SWANEEDMB, did you end up buying any stocks from them and if so what did you think? I ended up buying the NPM stock they had listed and just like the winchester stock, it was exactly as described and I am pretty happy with the purchase.

Thanks Wayne for the heads up on 'What a country', we just received 2 Inland stocks, not the higher priced ones, but for $200 we are VERY pleased with what we got, patina is nice, will not referb, use as we got them, might just buy another, need to find maker for what we need. They also came with all metal.

SWANEEDMB,
Glad to hear that. Like I said both the stocks I have bought from them have been exactly as described and I think they do a really good job with the pictures they post of the stocks they are selling so you know what to expect.

Many of the stocks that What-a-Country offers in it's Damaged/Blemished section are easily repairable with today's modern adhesives and usually can be had for $55-$65. Often they have only a minor crack along the grain on the side and won't affect function. They make for a fun project to those who like to fix things. The repairs on the two that I have are nearly undetectable.

I purchased several stocks from WAC and could not be happier.

I bought about $3K worth of carbine stocks from WAC in 2005. Bought for myself and some collector friends. I wish I had a time machine so I could do it again. I think low wood stocks went for $175 and highwood stocks went for $250. Yasha (sp?) was a nice guy to deal with. All of it was the real stuff and no "added" markings. I think it came out of Anniston during the Captain Crunch days. Too bad all that was left was the stocks.
