I been working with this guy about buying this Carbine. It's in Real Nice Condition and ALL parts are Correct for the Year, but when it came down to me wanting to buy it he sent me these close ups first. Can you see anything unusual. The Stock is a I cut High Wood and it's looks very clean. I found the Cartouche image and the guy also a Underwood Carbine with the same Stock, but never wanted a Underwood not until I found a Nice IBM Carbine first.

Somebody posted these same pictures on the CSP forum. The flip sight is a reproduction. The bolt has a phosphate finish (should be a black oxide/blued finish). The acceptance stamp is a fake stamp. The faint original is right next to it.

Hate very much to say, but looks like one of the Ebay stamps sold a few years back. Another stock ruined. Charlie-painter777

When I said I found that early old mark I did it by enhancing the picture last nignt. I couldn't see it at first, but I always use my Photo Editor Pro to add some contrast, warmth and sharpening to see the Cartouche that's cause I've seen some double stamped, but heard that's not unusual, but when ones get added then that's tells a lot. I backed out of the deal and he was okay with it after I showed him this.
I just received these pictures yesterday and this is the only place I showed them. As per CSP I do not know what forum that is. I would only show it to people I'm familiar with. I sure wish it did t have it though.
