Has anyone ever seen a Saginaw S'G' slide with these markings? This is on an all original 1.79 S'G'.
It as type 3, or E279.   |

| Correct, the S.G. is on the bottom side. The bomb is upside down on the out side of the arm. |

So its a Saginaw slide on an original appearing Grand Rapids carbine. I know Inland transferred slides. Would have to check WB, However technically both Saginaw and Grand Rapids plants both being Steering Gear, I wonder if they would document a lateral support. Later all S.G. carbines were finished in Grand Rapids with I believe a mix of parts

The bomb may be a random inspectors mark. Unsure of barrel, but as to date i would expect more S'G' marked parts then IP. |
