The thought is that the Emergency Equipment Company was the E. W. Boyce, however if you look at the linked article the Boyce advertisement is absent the "Genuine Army Rejected Carbine Stock" If you are searching the internet then I would say search the Emergency Equipment Company toy carbine. With anything collectable it comes down to original condition. Yours looks like it was well loved which would deter from the value. Trying to fix the finish might make it look better, but then it would no longer have the original markings. Something that a collector would spot. I have seen nicer ones some sell in the 100 dollar range. With the carbine craziness you never know. Still a nice carbine collectable
