Topic - Spotters Report Q(X-ed)-RMC Stock Posted: Sep 28 2019 at 11:24am By New2brass |
Member Rob Clark (Norwhich93) reports a Q-RMC low wood stock where the Q is X-ed out.
While this is not new to the club it is worth reporting here, In April 1982 J.B. Powers wrote in CCNL 65-4 about QRMC and RMC Low Wood Stocks and that the one like below is not an easy find. In CCNL323-2 Bob Eakins checked the clubs data sheets and reports of a Q-RMC hand guard with the Q X-ed out on an original late Rockola. So what we have is items made by Rockola that were marked for QHMC, but wound up being used by Rockola. The proof of that on the stock is the fact that it has the RMC CC Rockola was allowed to produce carbines for a short time after QHMC production stopped. It is possible this was the usage of over production of Q-RMC stocks or that the left over stocks at QHMC were trucked back to RMC to be used. Thanks to Rob for sharing. We encourage that all members fill out data sheets or report items which fall out of the norm. |
