I assume this is a type 3 stock that has been modified into a M2 stock. It has: (see photos)
select switch cut away 3.15 inch barrel channel bridge cut-away 1/2" M-U stamp in sling well boxed GHD over UEF and CC on right side butt slight uneven curved shape along the bottom makes it almost appear like

An interesting way to covert for sure. I had an IBM high wood that received a similar treatment.
