I obtained it years ago. It was included with a double-handful of orig C-tips slings I got from a club member and collector. Overall, it is 43" long. See photos for other dimensions.
I've researched all my sources and can't make up my mind definite one way or the other.
I would appreciate an honest analysis from the members. Thanks

Yep, that’s legit. A whole pile of these came in from Italy several years ago and they all had the narrow buckles. I bought quite a few back then.

May be a legit sling, but not liking how the 2 bottom tabs on the inside of the female snap are bent in the wrong direction.  Also looks like more distance than usual between the male and female snaps.  Isn't 43" a bit short to be a carbine sling?

Thanks, Wayne
I have a bunch of additional slings. I'll make some comparisons and research some more.

looking at this again, I have to take back what I said previously, or qualify it differently. I apologize as I must have not focused to closely on a couple of the pictures. The weave of the webbing looks good, metal tips look good, the buckle looks good, the female part of the LTD looks good despite the tangs being flipped the wrong way in a couple spots. What does the back side of the male part of the LTD look like? That’s a detail most repro/fake slings don’t get right.

What is odd is the distance from the female LTD to the C tip, looks too close. The distance from the female part of the LTD to the male part of the LTD are way too far apart as well. It almost strikes me as a sling put together with original C-tips on a Reising sling. The short distance from the tip to the female LTD could be because the original D tip was cut off. See the pic below I pulled off google.

My first thought when I looked at it yesterday.

After a much closer look at this sling, you gentlemen are absolutely correct. The dimensions and distances are all wrong for a M1 carbine sling. My bad.....I should have done a much better due diligence before posting.
Many thanks for your comments
Best regards, and be well.
