just bought a survivalist Iver Johnson and it only came with one mag, I’d like to buy a couple more but I’m not sure which mags will fit the Iver from different manufacturers.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

Suggest you stay with USGI surplus magazines or the new made Korean KCI "U" marked magazines.

15 round magazine are the most reliable. If you do go with 30 rd magazines you would need to use the M2 Magazine catch if your carbine doesn't have have one already.

Iver Johnson M1 carbines can be problematic. Using a good, reliable magazine will help it function better.

I have an Iver Johnson and it uses any ordinary M1 Carbine magazines. I personally prefer the KCI's as sold by Outdoor Limited, and leave the valuable original magazines for the collectors. Wink

Other than the point of impact being quite off, my IJ hasn't been problematic and in fact is a bit more accurate than any of my other M1's.
