Hello all! I am new here hence me posting this. My name is Brendan and I live in Gwinnett County, Georgia. I registered because to be honest, the M1 Carbine is my favorite rifle and I own one as well as a ton of mag pouches, magazines, slings, etc. My interest in carbines stems back to when I was four, as an Inland mixmaster my old man had (which he no longer owns sadly. We had to sell it to help pay for some surgery my mom had a few years back) was the first centerfire rifle I ever shot. When I turned 18 a couple years back, I obtained my carbine, which is a Saginaw S'G' that is practically all original except for a replacement adjustable rear sight (and an entirely QHMC trigger group with an IP sear, I will post a thread on it later. Out of the stuff I own, my carbine is perhaps my favorite rifle, and best shooting too. Anyways, thank you and I look forward to learning about this fantastic little rifle and perhaps bettering my collection of carbine accouterments. I do not know if anyone on here is on gunboards or not, but if you are, I'm russkiesniper on GB.

Welcome Brendan from the broiling coast of SeVA. Relief is on the way though. Lots of great people here to help you learn about carbines including those you have and those you don't...yet. Smile

Welcome Brendan! Your interest started "four"?! Wow, that's the youngest I've heard. Post some photos of your carbine and jump right in on the discussions.

Thanks guys! It's great to be here.

Donnie- Yes, I did start at four with my carbine addiction after I shot my dad's old Inland for the first time, and my mom buying me a carbine mag pouch that had 2 mags in it (IA and an AI, still have both and the pouch) at an antique shop in TN when I was 5, as then is when I got into militaria. I'm turning 21 next February, so a good chunk of my life I've liked my carbines. My dad even gave me a 10/22 dolled up as an M1 for christmas one year! I still have the rifle, but have thought about dropping it in an M1A1 stock since those exist for 10/22s now.

m1a1fan- It is likewise here in Metro ATL... It's been so hot here that if I was mad enough, I could go out one morning, leave a tray with some cookie dough in my car (for the car nerds, I own a 1989 Mustang LX hence my username) and by noon have some fresh baked cookies! Haha
