I'm curious if anyone else has had experiences dealing with this seller? I believe his last name is Fannin.

Marcus has posted a few times over the years that Inland marked type two bands have been spotted on WRA carbines in the 5 million range. That cartouche looks larger than the 1/2 or so inch a later WRA stamp should be, in fact much larger. Maybe it's a photographic anomaly or even worse.

Don't forget, I bought an 'original' from him which in hand was an unconvincing correction with
reproduction parts. Reproduction cast parts he stated are originals. All photos that would've shown all the issues were
not included or conveniently blurry. A huge dovetail scar looked like a blurred lighting effect in his pics. His quoted opinion was that it was a well seasoned "original". If you've seen the soft mush that cows expel in the spring from eating a diet of fresh, newly grown green grass instead of the dried brown straw and hay over the winter you'll get a visual of the value of his words. My approach would be to believe the negatives he posts about an item (can't remember that he has ever divulged a negative about one) and ignore everything else he writes or says. Others have divulged the same and other problems with this seller to me in confidence. He has a different understanding of the word "original".

I'm not defending the seller, can't vouch for his story, and the auction doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I've examined this carbine (not completely disassembled but removed the stock from the gun) and found it comparable to my (original ?) 5.79 WRA except for the barrel band (mine is a Type 2 unmarked). That was the only anomaly I noticed. If the CC was wrong it didn't jump out at me. If you compare the width of the CC to the stock width, the ratio will change depending on where it is stamped on the stock. A better picture would answer the CC question.

That's the only way to do it; examine the Carbine for what it displays in images, or if possible in hand.
