Hello,
This is first Winchester proofed recoil plate I've seen. How common are recoil plates marked like this one?

Hello,
Yep, just what I was thinking. It's only one with that marking I'd ever seen. Never know until you ask the experts.
Thanks

If you have access to it..
Curious if the real maker mark is present.
Be a nut buster if it's a IP-W or other rare plate.

Man! why do people come up with this stuff? Too each his own I suppose. I checked on that recoil plate, he said that Winchester mark on top is the only marking on the plate he could find.

Thx mooregun  Thumbs Up,
I was just curious.
The Seth Ola above was a joke a passed away friend did with I believe Photo Shop.
There used to be a guy on the Carbine forums that would post "FAKE" to anything anyone put a picture up of. That's all he'd ever reply. Guy drove us nuts, fingers still crossed that he doesn't show up again. It's been years now, but still hoping he stays away.... Disapprove

Appreciate your follow up,

That guy was just playing the odds. Based on my observations, you will get a rather large number of “Fake” responses to about any question regarding authenticity. The guilty until proven innocent syndrome.

@Floyd,
He did it just to aggravate. He responded to every post as Fake. Started out on the gun and knife forum, then mostly on the old Culvers site.

But I agree to the current Guilty until Proven innocent theory.

Oh! do I remember that guy. Gave me headaches! If you showed a part still in the original packaging, he would still post "FAKE!
