For a 5.5M 9-44 should be right on. Also have an 5.4M with an 8-44.

Out of 2 5.5M I have one undated and one 9-44 dated. One 6.4M with an 11-44.

It's odd that they stamped some barrel dates and omitted others.  Can't sense any rhyme or reason to it.

Thanks. Yeah, I don’t think this carbine has been anywhere near a refurbished arsenal.

that’s looks like a transitional Inland. I wouldn’t change a thing on it. I’ve been lucky and picked up a transitional inland and a transitional Winchester for very good prices because lost people overlook them as being rearsenalled

What's the barrel date or is it undated?

Yes, just surface rust, cleaned up nicely.  Bore is bright, rifling excellent.

From the pics you posted so far, it appears to be an original transitional Inland. I wouldn't change a thing. What's the approx serial? Was it just surface rust that cleaned off? The parts you posted look pretty good.

How do I message you with the photos?  That sounds great.

It looks like you figured it out, Great!

I think you are uploading and then copying the picture and pasting into the post, but you are copying the preview size. Try clicking on the preview picture first and then copy, you will gt the bigger picture.

Also, be patient when you click upload If you click upload more than once you get the same picture uploaded multiple times. I deleted the doubles so you are good!

Nice AS T2 band!
