Have tried I D'ing several times but this machine keeps shutting down--maybe it's the modem.
OK, here goes again. Pic's 1, 2, 3, 23, 24, & 25. Stock & hand guard are in very nice condition, don't see any evidence of rework or sanding. Cartouche is/was stamped very lightly, BR-B is only the markings on both wood. Pic's 4, 5, 6, 7. T-Group, Stamped, Hammer is in the white, stamped AM-B, safety EPB, mag catch EPB, sear BOB, trigger SK-B. 8 & 12, front sight, stamped, SIB, 9. Barrel IBM Corp only. 10 & 11. B-Band type 1, swivel stamped KV B, 2 weld marks, sling window 5/16ths. 13, 14, 15, slide, inside bottom stamped A, outside bottom 15. 16, 17, 19. Rear sight stake punch marks, IR-Co. 18. Polished ramp. 20, 21, 22. Bolt, Right lug AOB, left lug H, below left lug F, extractor IB, firing pin BE-B in the white. Hope this helps, if needed we can send in the data sheet.

Even at 71 a little "Whoops!" can throw a clinker into the works. Today is the first day in a week and a half that I've been able to resume normal activity after a slip where I twisted my back. Even today it was giving me an occasional warning.... Take your time and get better. Don't rush things. The carbine is about your age so I don't think its in any hurry either!

Yes really nice.
Appears the rear sight was pushed pretty far to the left. Get better, type later. Ch-P777

The sight is to the left, don't know why have never taken out to shoot, center part of sight I moved to the far left to show staking marks.

Sure doesn't look like normal Adj site staking.
I agree with Marcus, that it looks like it was done in the field. And I don't believe a battle field. Ch-P777
